The fact then that Dr Walsh, who was the on call OB who delivered Grace, and then walked alongside us during my pregnancy with Carter and delivered him as well wanted to sponsor the Kids Jersey just made our hearts so full. Having Rauni, the CEO of Emily’s House, there for the inaugural puck drop well that was the bow that tied it all together.

Thank you to each family who brought out a player, it honestly meant the world to us to have 40 skaters out on the ice, to look to the boards and up to the windows and see them lined with families, it took our breath away. To be honest it’s often hard to be in situations and events that involve families, our hearts ache that we’re missing one and our minds wonder and wonder. But during this game we could feel her. Grace was there with us all. Smiling down, cheering on her brother and was apart of this special moment. To each and every one of you who took part, thank you for making this dream become a reality, thank you for being part of such a beautiful and touching memory that we will never forget.

We are excited to announce that the Hockey for Grace Kids Game will be back for 2026. This years event will be happening Saturday June 6th at Newmarket's Manga Centre. This years game is open to House League, Select, MD and Rep players aged 7 to 12.    

Who: House League, Select, MD, Rep

Age: 8 to 12

What: A two period (22 mins each), two minute shift, full ice, game

Teams: Each team will have two sets of lines to accommodate the levels of the players to ensure fair and fun play 

Cost:  $25p/player (kids game participants are not required to participate in the fundraising commitment)
