Last year we raised $12,000 for Emily’s House. We couldn’t believe the support and success of our inaugural event and that has set our sights even higher this year with the goal to raise $20,000 for Emily’s House. We hope you can make it out to either the Hockey Tournament, Charity Social or both! But if not or if you’d like to make a donation as well we would appreciate any and all support.

Where do your donations go?

All net proceeds raised from #HockeyForGrace are donated to Emily’s House to help provide compassionate hospice support for children in their residential care and his/her family; or, help community hospice program support children in the comfort of their own home. Last year, generous donors made possible: 245 Emily’s House admissions and 419 volunteer visits to 107 kids in our community.  However demand is always increasing and with limited government funding Emily’s House looks to the community for additional funding to meet the increasing demand for programs and services as they are the only children’s hospice in the GTA.

As part of the #HockeyForGrace donation to Emily’s House Chris and Amy have designated that a percentage of the donation be put aside for “Grace’s Adventure Fund”. While at Emily’s House they were blessed to be able to share many adventures with Grace which meant the world them and allowed them to create so many lasting memories that they will always hold dear to their hearts. They wanted to give this opportunity to others. Last year $2,000 was put into Grace’s Adventure Fund. As part of the intake/programming options each family that came to Emily’s House for end-of-life care had access to the fund to put towards an adventure(s) of their choice. Some remarkable adventures have been had including over-the-top parties, barbecues, outings to professional sporting events, and family celebrations just to name a few. With this years goal of $20,000 a donation of $5,000 would be put into “Grace’s Adventure Fund” to ensure that all families that come to Emily’s House are able to create and share in memorable adventures with their child.
